Term 1 was a great one to kick off the school year! We engaged over 30 schools in the first term of 2017, mostly during ‘mad’ March. Gould League in partnership with City of Boroondara is delivering an exciting waste minimisation pilot project to ten schools and early education centres in Boroondara.
Our longest standing volunteer of just over 3 years, Paul Stephenson, has his last shift with us for a while today. That’s a wrap! The Waste Smart Schools and Families pilot project, which concluded June 2014, explored the potential to divert waste to landfill and reduce contamination of recycling in the City of Boroondara municipality by engaging six Boroondara schools and two Early Education Centres and their families in waste management activities/behaviours.
