Waste incursions for Whitehorse City Council
Whitehorse City Council have partnered with Gould League, to deliver waste incursions. Gould League is Australia’s oldest environment charity who have run environmental incursions and excursions for schools since 1909. All programs are linked to the curriculum to help teachers reinforce their science, geography, citizenship and sustainability lessons and designed to connect students with the natural world and empower them to take practical actions to live more sustainably.
You have been directed to this page to book your preferred incursion. Sessions offered are subject to availability and budget and must be taken by June 30, 2025. There is a limit of one day (up to three sessions) per school per financial year. Each group must not exceed 30 students per group. Additional programs (more than 3) can be booked however schools are responsible for all additional program fees.
The 5Rs of the Circular Economy and Zero Waste Futures offered by the Whitehorse City Council is for 2 hours only with 3 learning modules. If you would like to deepen the learning and double the duration of the program for Level 5 and above to 4 hours and receive 5 modules, you can do so at your own expense. The fee for the additional 2 hours is $180 per group – Schools will billed directly for this.
Please review the available programs. Once you have determined which program best suits your needs, please book the program. Greta the Gould League Bookings Coordinator will then be back in touch with you to confirm your booking. If you have chosen to undertake more than the 3 FREE Sessions offered by Whitehorse City Council, you will be sent a quote for the balance of fees which will then be confirmed upon your acceptance of the quote.
