Australian Threatened and Endangered Animals

Australia has lost more species of mammal than any other continent in the world and many other animals are endangered. This book highlights both the folly of European approach to the Australian environment and the work of volunteers, scientists, farmers and environmental workers towards saving threatened species.

This book looks at over 60 species. It examines the reasons for their decline and what is being done to save them. It covers a broad range of interesting animals and introduces a complex topic in a positive, realistic and simply way. To help shine a spot light on threatened and endangered animals, Gould League are delighted to provide Teachers a copy of our book FREE of CHARGE in PDF download format, to use as a resource for Threatened Species Day September 7.
