Students Futurescaping Schools Update
The majority of schools in our current ‘Students Futurescaping Schools’ cohort have elected to plan, plant, celebrate and integrate a ‘Wildscape’ habitat garden into their school and curriculum!
Supported by our new Project Officer, Amy Shaw, who has extensive research under her belt into how to engage communities in Wildscape gardening and a passion for getting students connected to nature, the program is set to be a blossoming success!
Six of our ‘Students Futurescaping Schools’ schools are also receiving support through the ‘Grand Alliance Consortium’ funding from Sustainability Victoria to progress on their ResourceSmart AuSSI Vic Journey, with Gould League’s facilitation.
We are in the process of finalising the recruit of another 7 schools into the program this term for induction in Term 4 2013 and commencement in Term 1 next year, 2014.
