FREE Incursions Knox City Council
Knox City Council has partnered with Gould League, Australia’s oldest environmental charity, to provide waste incursions for students in 4 Year old Kinder and School students from Foundation through to Level 10.
Gould League has been proudly conducting environmental incursions and excursions for schools since 1909. All programs are aligned with the curriculum, helping teachers reinforce lessons in science, geography, citizenship, and sustainability. These programs aim to connect students with the natural world and empower them to take practical steps toward living more sustainably.
You have been directed to this page to book your preferred incursion. Please note the following:
- Sessions offered are subject to availability and budget
- All sessions must be completed by June 30, 2026
- Each school is eligible for funding for up to six sessions per financial year. Same year level bookings must be delivered on the same day. Multiple age levels may need to be delivered over two days. Groups should not exceed 30 students per session.
- ELC’s are eligible for funding for up to three sessions. Groups should not exceed 25 students per session.
- Additional programs can be booked, but your kinder or school will be responsible for any extra fees.
The Kinder program duration is 45 minutes.
The School program duration for Levels F – Gr 4 is 90 minutes.
The School program duration for Levels 5 – 10 is 2 hours. There is an option to extend these programs to 4 hours, however, this is at your own school’s expense. The fee for the additional 2 hours is $180 per group, and schools will be billed directly for this.

Greta, the Gould League Bookings Coordinator, will reach out to confirm your booking. If you choose to undertake more than the six FREE sessions provided by Knox City Council, you will receive an invoice for a deposit for the remaining fees, which will be confirmed upon your payment.
