‘Family Fun Day’: Sunday October 14th, 2012
Moorabbin High School closed in 1984, but the premises have undergone an amazing transformation with Gould League, an iconic, non-profit environmental education organisation, establishing a ‘Sustainability Education Centre’ onsite in 1990.
On Sunday, October 14th 2012, between 12pm and 3pm, we would like to invite local residents, family groups, teachers and previous Moorabbin High School students to visit Gould League. Take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to explore our gardens and centre exhibits for a ‘Family Fun Day’. (Entry is by a token donation.)
The ‘Family Fun Day’ promises a variety of fun and hands-on activities – taking the young and young-at-heart on an educational journey that includes:
12.30pm | Incredible Shrinking Machine & Live Insects: Leaf Insects & Litterbugs |
1pm | Interactive Play & Costume Time |
1.30pm | Mini-beast Hunt in Garden (Wet weather plan: Story Time) |
2pm | Interactive Play & Costume Time |
2.30pm | Recycling Relay |
Between 12pm and 3pm you are welcome to visit our interactive ‘Wastelands’ and ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’ rooms, get crafty with recycled materials … and meet our resident worms!
A unique opportunity to reminisce and reconnect with a fabulous resource in the City of Kingston – we hope you can join us.
