After a rigorous recruitment process, we have selected a highly suitable replacement for the term of our current Operations Manager, Amy Stace-Smith’s maternity leave.
Kasandra Ross will be at the helm from the 1st day of Term 2, and comes with a wealth of experience in both the on-ground environmental education and the management of very similar organisations. From on-ground teaching and interpretation at Phillip Island Nature Park, Wilson Botanic Park and The Briars to managerial roles as Coordinator of Wilson Botanic Park (City of Casey), and Education Programs Coordinator at Myuna Farm.
Kas (as she likes to be known) brings with her a great communication style, a broad array of skills (read: ‘jack-of-all-trades’!) and the openness and enthusiasm to truly embrace the role and support you in your engagement with Gould League.
“I am very excited about being part of the Gould League and hope I can make a positive contribution to the team in Amy’s absence over the next 12 months!”
– Kasandra Ross
A note from our temporarily outgoing Operations Manager, Amy:
“Gould League has been my baby for the past 3 years, and now I’m preparing to welcome a real bub into the world in the next month! I have every confidence in Kas’ ability and know you all, as Gould League supporters, will make her feel very welcome and support her in her initial learning curve. She’s got great ideas and I know she’ll contribute positively to the growth of Gould League during her time in the role.”
